HOUSING AUTHORITY BOARD by Mayor
OCGA 8-3-50(a) – The Mayor (alone) appoints the members of the housing authority with no subsequent approval required by the council. The mayor appoints five members and may appoint up to two additional members (called commissioners in the code), of whom at least one is directly assisted by the public housing authority and is known as the “Resident Commissioner”. The mayor also fills vacancies.
