Yard & Garden Waste Collection
The City of Dublin collects yard and garden waste, including leaves, limbs, branches, grass clippings, and other yard trimmings.
Before You Place Debris at the Curb
Please keep yard waste separate from other materials such as:
- Lumber and construction debris
- Metal
- Paper and cardboard
- Household trash
- Other non-yard waste items
Yard Waste Size Limits
To qualify for regular collection, yard waste piles must be no larger than:
- 4 feet wide
- 12 feet long
- 6 feet high
(approximately 7 cubic yards)
Only one pile of bulky yard waste may be placed at the curb for collection.
Piles exceeding these limits may require a special pickup fee.
Leaves and Grass Clippings
- Do not mix leaves or grass clippings with limbs, branches, and other bulky yard debris.
- The size limits above do not apply to piles consisting only of leaves or pine straw.
Safety Requirements
For the safety of sanitation crews, yard waste must be placed at least 10 feet away from utility poles, power lines, and guide wires.
Contractor and Landscaping Debris
If you hire a contractor, landscaper, tree service, or similar professional, the city is not responsible for removing debris they create that exceeds the collection limits listed above.
Professional tree services, tree trimming companies, timber cutters, and similar contractors are responsible for removing and disposing of their own debris.
Mulch is no longer available at the City of Dublin compost site.
