The City of Dublin is seeking individuals to fill the following positions:

  • Police Officer
  • The City of Dublin is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer to perform law, traffic and criminal investigations work. Applicants must be 21 years old and possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. and a valid Georgia driver’s license. Successful applicant must pass a drug screen.

    Starting salary is $13.99 an hour for a POST Certified Officer or $13.29 an hour if not certified. An extensive fringe benefit package is also offered.

    Applications will be taken in the Human Resource Department located at City Hall. The City of Dublin is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

  • Mechanic
  • The City of Dublin is accepting applications for a Mechanic in the Mechanical Maintenance Department. Applicants must have a valid Georgia commercial drivers license and will be required to furnish own tools. Experience in the repair of vehicles and construction equipment including engine, transmission and break repair preferred. This individual will be responsible for changing tires and oil in all City vehicles. Successful applicant must pass a drug screen.

    Starting salary is $12.67 an hour. An extensive fringe benefit package including health, dental and life insurance is also offered.

    Applications will be taken in the Human Resource Department located at City Hall until 4:30 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2008. The City is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

All City of Dublin positions are open to the general public are advertised in the classified section of the Dublin Courier-Herald.

Job announcements are posted at all City facilities as well as in the City of Dublin Human Resources Department. They are also placed on the local access channel, Channel 9. Job announcements will provide you with salary information, job duties, application deadlines, educational and experience requirements.

Applications are accepted between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Applications are kept on file in the Human Resources Department for one year from the date of application.
